The research will commence with a literature review of documents from the public domain including academic and research literature about intervention in co-morbid conditions, and in rural communities, and policy documents relevant to service delivery. Data will be collected via an audit of the organisation's documents and records to map the range and type of services provided by the organisation and who they are
provided to. Census, health and local government community data will be used to develop profiles of the communities where services are delivered. Semi-structured interviews with Lyndon's staff and other primary health care workers who work in partnership with Lyndon will identify the ways health workers assess client needs and address them, problems workers experience in delivering services and service gaps and
innovations.
The findings will be presented to the participants who will work in research teams to complete two action research cycles. In each cycle they will review the data, plan and implement change in work practices and evaluate the impact. |
